Thanks for the update.
Having a lot of problems finding time to use radio these days. Found the solution to operating - use my lunch breaks.
Construction and using these parts is still a bigger problem.

Yes, I saw that www.notobsolete.co.uk/Default.aspx was down, but the contact information is there. I have already asked them if they can find some components to see how they do.
I found the link to that site at www.re-enactment.com. As I wrote, the site is fun but nothing to do with radio, but there are some rotating banners that seem to be radio based. I hate advertising, but in this case there could be something more of interest.

This week I had the pleasure to meet Paul Craddock. Paul is a former radio ham and has taught the RAE to students. His has a homepage at www.re-enactment.com, whic has nothing at all to do with radio.
BUT on his site a found rotating links to obsolete electronic component supplier(s): no component is obsolete, just harder to find.
