Interesting.
I never change any tags, I just leave the original preference of e-mail notifications.
I always get one notification when there is a reply, but I never get any more if I do not visit the topic.
I will have a closer look at the forum settings. May I also take a look at your preferences?

It's strange. because I tagged there for every change in the post I'm following. Even when someone else answers.Admin wrote:Every time you answer a topic then the e-mail notification is started again.

Thank you very much, I will look at that link and get the files.
I used to wonder the same thing, but the forum is programmed to send only one reminder per topic. If you do not add anything new then it will not send any further reminders.

Hello Branez,
What a fantastic device. You have take amateur coil winding to another level. As a 3D print enthusiast I am a beginner and I have got a lot to learn from you. Do you have the STL files for your coil winder?
All my coils are wound by hand, or an electric drill. I cannot make cross-coils like that, so the self-capacitance is quite high.
But you are an inspiration. I look forward to seeing more of your "thingies" on thingiverse.com.
Very best regards from Harry - SM0VPO

It is also my intention. I made a machine for winding cross coils.Admin wrote:
I shall wind a couple of coils on these formers and knock-up a little regen 1-tube receiver.
Once done, I will post here and at Thingiverse. There I added the two models with a thicker base.
The video (made by My old GSM) is bad, but You can see how it works.

On the top link there are things I've done for the 3D printer in recent years.
Hi Branko,
I want to thank you for the Denco coil project. I printed mine out today from the files you posted at Thingiverse.com. I am unable to give a reply, but you can add one more person to "Saved" and one more to "I built it". I printed both versions but I put them in a single GCODE file. I also use a raft and set temp = 200°C and bed temp = 60°C. I dropped the bed temp to 50°C during the second layer so that it would not warp (one of the problems I experienced).
I shall wind a couple of coils on these formers and knock-up a little regen 1-tube receiver. Bt that will be a project for the summer. At the moment I am learning Arduino together with a student at work.
If you are interested then my printout looks like this:
It looks really good, and there was no "stringing" between elements. My ony comment is that the base could be a little thicker, but I will put it in a tube base when I solder the pins so they are stable if (when) the plastic melts during soldering. Later in the week I will tap the holes and fit the ferrite slugs. I don't even need to drill the screw holes (On mine I used 3D Studio MAX and the elements were "connected" but not "merged" so mine have to be drilled with a 2.5mm bit - to be corrected).
Thank you very much, a lovely job I am looking forward to using them. I will get some different coloured plastics to duplicate the original Denco colours.
Very best regards from Harry - SM0VPO
PS - The upper lead support on mine are to make it more stable when soldering /H

Re: Welcome new user Branez
Hello again,
The settings look good, but I will check them this evening.
I used 1.75mm PLA, but the nozzle diameter should be selected to suite the nozzle you are using.
I used "raft" and not "brim" when I printed mined mine, mainly because I have an adhesion problem with my printer, and the raft is a workaround.
But I will respond this evening and post my settings page :-)

Are these settings with which it is printed? What is the diameter of the nozzle hole? What material do you use, PLA or anything else?
Try to increase the height of the layer to 0.2mm. So I printed without problems with PLA.

I am a real newbie when it comes to 3D printing, but I seem to be getting good results (with a little trimming from time to time).
But I will get the macro lens out and get some pics so you can see what is happening.
Thank you very much for your reply :-) Really appreciated.

Hi Branco,
I am so glad you were patient, but I do make of point of activating accounts within 24 hours, and correcting things like permissions.
It was actually corrected over a week ago.
As regards to your former on Thingiverse, I will download it this evening and see how it works on my printer. I seem to have a couple of issues, but I think it is the filament I am using. I get loadsa microscopic strands between different vertical members in a printout - like a really fine nylon thread. I did some tests and they improved when I screwed the temp up from 195°C to 205°C. I can almost wipe them off with my finger, but it is annoying. Have you ever had anything similar?
BR Harry

I know all these problems, I am Moderator on the Slovenian forum where we are facing the same problems for more than sixteen years. That's why I waited patiently.
I like "r o l e x", but this www.sm0vpo.com is better!
It was just a test of action.

Re: Welcome new user Branez
Great, I got it working a week ago (on the 17th). Some of the parameters in the settings are a bit WeIrEe, for example:
"Authorize members with less than a week registration ..." WRONG. The text reads:
"Unauthorize members with less than a week registration ...". Answering "yes" to this BLOCKS members with less than a weeks membership.
The forum software was not written by a native English speaker. Several options are written negatively and have to be answered with a NO to enable the function.
In the case of URLs, it can (and has) happened that people have registered and then posted loadsa SPAM for wrist-watches, chinese online shopping and "private services" sites (not allowed to use the word www.sm0vpo.com).
Ivan (moderator) and I (administrator) deleted/blocked many user accounts and posts, but that stopped about four years ago.
Incidentally, my chosen method of preventing foul language and unsuitable adverts is to have auto-replacement of specified words and links. Over the past four years these rules have not been needed, for example "r o l e x" will become www.sm0vpo.com. In the beginning the forum was open, but it was grossly abused.

Hello again,
Yes, I searched through the board permissions and found a "default" setting:
I have now corrected it.
You are the first person ever on this board to attempt to send a link within 1 week of registering
Although I added your link to you message, please try again to check that the function works.
Thank you very much, and I apologise for the error.
Very best regards from Harry - SM0VPO

No I'm not!
I'm trying to add a forum link to Thingiverse, where I posted files for Denco coil, more like the original than on your website, but I have to wait for to do it.
Nothing bad, I'll wait.
