Since the hosting company is in the US, and since they have been made aware of illegal content, would it not be illegal for them not to act? I'm quite (but not 100%) sure the location of "the client" doesn't matter, the server holding the illegal content is in the USA.

Although you have said to them that the content of that site belongs to you and ownership is not in doubt, I think that you should provide them with overwhelming proof that the homepages have been ripped off - your say-so may not carry much weight.

This guy seems to be untouchable. I have reported him to his host and to Google Ads but he is not in Europe or the USA.

Anyone got any ideas?

You might consider reporting him to Google Adsense too as he is clearly in breach of their terms and conditions. They will close his account and ban him from ever having another one.

It is interesting that I have been awarded damages on three occasions over the past 8 or 9 years, usually after a pre-trial review, one of which was even in the USA (outside Europe). A European court made a ruling that the ISP were also to blame after they were informed of the crime published on their server. I was surprised that the award was so large, but they are in Europe.[/size]

These are all directly copied from my own Swedish site www.sm0vpo.com and have been published on your server. I wish to report the abuse directly to you before I take the matter further. Not only has sahak21 copied my projects word-for-word he has also erased my identity from the text and pictures thereby declaring that he is the author of the projects. I presently have around 3,000,000 visitors a year to my homepages so there is no question of ownership.

I would be grateful if you could take appropriate steps to remove the theft of my work from your server and deny any future recurrence of this happening again as I am sure you do not wish to be complicit to this abuse now that you have been informed. F.Y.I. I was awarded a sum equal to about US$1,800 damages plus legal fees by a Belgian court for the previous identical incident. The cost was divided between the ISP and the thief himself.
