Re: Problem about DC-AC Inverter
Can you check (with an oscilloscope) if the 12 Volts winding is still fully driven under load?
Re: Problem about DC-AC Inverter
my transformer is center tap 12v-0-12v 12 amperes!!
i have two inverter, 1 is harrys dc-ac inverter and the other is transistor 2n3055 4pcs. its output wattage is 150 watts too like the 1 or harrys dc-ac inverter.
but when i compare much good the other inverter it can power on the 85watts colored tv and 20watts Flourecent.
but the harrys dc-ac inverter cannot power on my 85watts colored tv.

Re: Problem about DC-AC Inverter
OK, but this does not give very much information about the transformer itself. What is the voltage/current rating of the transformer? If you want 150 W (VA) from 12 Volts, the current will be at least 12.5 A (in practice more, because the efficiency is always lower than 100%!!!), so the winding at the 12 V side must be capable to hande at least say 15 Amps... Is this the case for the transformer you are using?!I am using EI transformer
Re: Problem about DC-AC Inverter
I am using EI transformer,
not digital, i am using sanwa multitester..
when im using Fluorescent lamps 40watts it does not start or can't light up!!

Re: Problem about DC-AC Inverter
What is the transformer you are using?
The inverter produces a square wave voltage at the output.
Most digital voltmeters give a wrong reading of this type of AC voltage.
You need a RMS voltmeter or an 'oldfashioned' moving coil meter to get the correct reading.

Problem about DC-AC Inverter
hi i have a problem to DC-AC Inverter here is the diagram http://www.sm0vpo.com/power/invert1_00.htm
i was created this inverter for 150watts power 12volt input and 220volt output. its good and fine when i try to 100 watts bulb. the output ac voltage is good 220volt ac, but when i try to 40watts or 20 watts Fluorescent lamps the output voltage was drop to about 70volt ac. i try also in my colored TV 85watts when i was switch on the tv the output voltage was drop to 50volt ac. i use 12 volt 3SM Battery or 12volt 72 amperes battery.
its fine when i use to charge cellphone over 13 celllphone charger was connected but when i try to 14 cellphone charger the output voltage was drop to 50volt bellow..
its good and fine also with the bulb or lamp 140watts and bellow
but there is a problem in the Fluorescent lamps 20 watts or 40 watts that have a starter the output voltage was drop during starter.. also in colored tv during starter..
i was check the connection and solder and its good there is no problem..
thanks!!
thanks!!
