New project and changes to Harry's Homebrew Homepages Empty New project and changes to Harry's Homebrew Homepages

Post by admin Wed Jan 19, 2022 10:39 pm

Hi all,
Over the past weeks I have been working on a new project, and a load of other things, during my lunch breaks.

1 - PIC based 2-tone encoder - can generate 2 selectable tones, eg. CTCSS (sub-audio tones) for repeater access, RTTY encoder, CCITT V.21 encoder, pocket pen signal generator, you name it. The limit is only your own imagination. I also gave the connections for the Yaesu FT-290R (490/790?).

Instructions included on how to burn chips and also how to modify the HEX code without even using the Microchip ASM program. Super small size. The completed project length is 50% in one electrolytic cap. Change it to a ceramic then it will halve the length.

Thank you also to Ivan who reviewed the original document before I extended the code.

2 - A few years ago I had a hard-disk failure - lost all the homepage files and passwords. I salvaged the homepages by sheer luck - I use a program called Teleport to clone the homepage site and recover the files. Unfortunately it added a heap of useless code with Java "This file was not downloaded by teleport - do you want to follow the link to the external site?". It also added alternative links to every picture on the site; links that do not function due to the server settings.

This week I corrected the last 38 files, each one individually edited in many different places.

3 - The links page has been updated to remove the links I was pressured to add, removed dead links, and corrected the "teleport redirect" message.

The homepages are now:
1 - http://www.sm0vpo.com      (full site, all files, PDF and downloads, running Abyss server)
2 - http://http://85.226.187.247:8080   (Full site, PDF and downloads, running Lighthttp server on a Raspberry PI Mk-1, beside my bed) ** See below
3 - http://sm0vpo.altervista.org     (All projects and downloads. No 16,000 PDFs due to lack of server space)

Coming soon:
New PDF datasheet section for tubes
New PDF datasheet section for all existing and new PIC microprocessors

If you see any improvements or errors then please let me know. You can always mail me at hotmail @ sm0vpo . com (no! it IS written correctly, if you ONLY remove the spaces)., alternatively post massages in this section of the forum (preferred).

Have a nice day and very best regards from Harry Lythall - SM0VPO

** See below - Does this mean I have put a mirror beside my bed?
** See below - This IP address may change if we have a long power failure.
